And the Food Returns

Oh lookie, more pictures of food this post, haha! But anyway, my bad for not really updating for a week. This past week has been kind of busy-ish with random events.

Wednesday, at work we had a Summer Sweets event! And we had free cupcakes and ice cream from Sprinkles and Cool Haus mobile trucks. It was SO good -I got a Salted Caramel cupcake, and then an ice cream sandwich with the vegan cookie and the 'beer and pretzel' ice cream (I told the guy to surprise me with a flavor, haha. In hindsight... probably should've picked my own, like mint).

Delicious Salty Caramel cupcake.

Thursday, I did dineLA (a lamer version of NY Restaurant Week) with my coworker, Angie, and we went to Sugarfish in downtown LA. Then we went to Bottega Louie, just because it was right across the street, and it's so hard to resist macarons! After, we met up with some other co-workers at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse for one of our analyst's going away party.

Angie and I standing outside of Sugarfish! Had to take a cutesy, tourist picture, hehe.

Box of macarons from Bottega Louie. Contains: Pistachio, Rose, Vanilla, Salted Caramel & Espresso.

Friday, I met some interns from Imagineering at happy hour at Momotaro! Everyone was really sweet, and I was glad that I took the initiative to "get out" and meet interns in other departments at Disney. (It's probably what the real world will be like -meeting people won't be as easy as turning to the person sitting next to you in class or in the library)...

'R & R & R'

... As in Running, Running Errands, and Reading. Actually, the running part is sort of a lie since I haven't gone running in almost a week, but I hopefully will later today started again today! Besides that, I ran some errands and just got some more books from the library. I've been waiting for The Shallows to be off hold, but seems like someone has had it out for weeks, grrr.

Working on Extremely Loud right now. Side note, the weather has been icky and humid recently. Gross. I guess I'll have to get used to it again anyway when I leave here.

Already Being Sentimental... Oy.

Funny thing that I just so happen to stalk Brenda's blog like a pro, and she also posted about a similar thing: I'm over halfway done with this internship this summer. It's a strange feeling -the first two weeks, I was still getting adjusted, and now it's week... seven, and it feels like 1.) I've been here forever, 2.) I'll be here forever. But the fact of the matter is... I won't be here forever. In fact, I'll be here for five more weeks. Five weeks seems like a lot, but considering I'm more than halfway done, it's unnerving. The people I've met here, the relationships I've built, and the project I've been working on, have been amazing, and I feel so lucky to have been able to have this opportunity.

And with that being said (and as the title implies), I should stop being so corny, because (as stated previously, but now in a more optimistic light...) I still have over a month left! And within that time, I will hopefully be also applying myself in the back-end applications (along with the front-end, UI stuff which I have been working on). I will try to learn as much as I can, see I as much I can, and do as much as I can. Anyway, there are still four more bagel Fridays, and probably at least (if not more) two team decompressions. These are little things, but little things often make the biggest difference. (But no, I am not saying that bagel Fridays are what make my experience here, heh).

Carpe Diem. (#YOLO). Seize the day.
