That Night I Was in a Castle

Before getting into the epic-ness that was last night, during work yesterday, we all got a chance to go on a tour of DisneyToon Studios, which makes many direct-to-video animations. Unfortunately it was all under NDA so no pictures, but it was a really awesome space, and I guess a fun fact is that all of the wood on the walls and floors were actually re-purposed from old basketball courts.

After work, a bunch of us went to Burbank Bar and Grille for a farewell dinner for one of our teammates. Later, someone asked if we wanted to go to a party in Hollywood after. With some contemplation, he adds, "It's my friend's and he lives in like a castle at the top of a hill. There's a shuttle that will be going around to take us up there." Alright, so we were sold. The party was actually unbelievably fun, not to mention the place had a gorgeous view. Since we had all come from work, we were unfortunately not dressed up, but the theme of it was 'Candy Land' and people got really into it! There were a couple of Willy Wonkas wandering about, and on a side note, I'd like to believe there were a couple of stars among us too (at least definitely Marc Price from Family Ties, whom a coworker said they met). It was overall a great night with fun people and conversation! I didn't want to take pictures of the residence (as epic as it was) but I got a couple of the views of the city.

Slept in a bit today and just finished reading The Anthem earlier.
